World Sleep Day
Awareness day of the World Sleep Society, held every year on the Friday before the March equinox. According to RAND Europe (2016), insufficient sleep costs the German economy up to USD 60 billion a year. One in three people in Germany says they sleep only moderately well or poorly (TK sleep study 2017). Workplace education: sleep is just as important as nutrition and exercise.
Idea to get started
Intranet campaign: "How well do you sleep?" with a validated self-test (ESS: Epworth Sleepiness Scale, free). Company physician info: when is poor sleep worth treating? Post a sleep tips card (5 rules for better sleep) in break rooms.
