Noise screening: hearing test for noise-exposed employees
Occupational health care for noise (ArbMedVV, Annex Part 3, German law): mandatory when 85 dB(A) is reached or exceeded; to be offered above 80 dB(A). Noise-induced hearing loss is a recognized occupational disease (BK No. 2301). Early detection helps to introduce hearing protection measures.
Idea to get started
Noise measurement at the workplace as a baseline: which employees are exposed above 80 dB(A)? Create a list. Occupational physician group appointment with an audiometer. Record the health care in the health-care register (Section 3(4) ArbMedVV, German law). If hearing worsens: review the risk assessment and hearing protection.
